Staff Orientation Programme

On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, the venerable portals of St Aloysius College Higher Primary School, Kodialbail, resonated with a profound sense of purpose.This programme, meticulously designed to elevate, refine and rejuvenate the pedagogical skills of the faculty. The core vision of this workshop was to empower educators to nurture emotionally resilient students, thereby enabling them to actualize their highest latent potentials.

​The day commenced on a sublime note, characterized by an aura of reverence and anticipation. The programme was formally inaugurated with the symbolic lighting of the lamp by the esteemed dignitaries, signifying the dispersal of ignorance and the embrace of wisdom. Following this, the faculty members led a deeply soulful and serene prayer service, invoking divine blessings to guide their intellectual and emotional endeavors for the upcoming academic year.

​In a graceful prelude to the main session, Mrs. Jositta Noronha, the Headmistress, welcomed the guest speaker as well as the staff faculty. ​With articulate warmth, Mrs. Noronha introduced the guest speaker and resource person of the day, Rev. Fr. Edward Rodrigues, SJ.

Rev. Fr. Edward Rodrigues, SJ, is a paragon of educational excellence. Having served with distinction as the Headmaster of St. Aloysius High School, Mangaluru, as well as steering aided institutions in Shimoga, Hassan and Bengaluru, he brings a wealth of profound experience. Currently, he dedicates his expertise to spiritual ministry, conducting highly acclaimed workshops and seminars for teachers and parents alike.

​An Enlightening Discourse on Jesuit Ideals

​The intellectual centerpiece of the day was the riveting discourse delivered by Rev. Fr. Edward Rodrigues, SJ. His eloquence and depth of knowledge captivated the staff team instantly. Fr. Rodrigues passionately underscored that the bedrock of true education lies in character building and fostering deep-rooted humanity within students.

​He highlighted the timeless tenets of Jesuit education, urging teachers to look beyond mere academic metrics.The discourse placed immense emphasis on emotional development, challenging educators to wield empathy as a transformative tool to heal, inspire and guide young minds.

​The impact of the orientation was immediate and palpable. During the interactive segment, the staff members enthusiastically shared their insights. The collective sentiment was one of intense elevation and invigoration; the teachers expressed that they felt remarkably boosted, creatively recharged and profoundly motivated to embark on the new academic year with a redefined vision.

​The day culminated in an atmosphere of immense appreciation. Mr. Liya D’Souza, the Assistant Headmaster, articulated the formal vote of thanks.

​With eloquent sincerity, he conveyed deep-seated gratitude to the Correspondent, Rev. Fr. Johnson Pinto, SJ, for his visionary leadership in organizing this empowering orientation. He further extended a warm tribute of appreciation to Rev. Fr. Edward Rodrigues, SJ, for so generously imparting his wisdom and beautifully educating the educators.
