St Ignatius Loyola Feast-2022

St Aloysius College Higher Primary School celebrated the feast of St Ignatius of Loyola the Founder of the Society of Jesus on August 1st. To mark this celebration the Catholic staff and students took part in the Eucharistic Celebration on July 29. The cultural programme was held on August 1st with the Ignatian value ‘Seeking God in all things’. The students of class 5 put up the day’s programme with the guidance of their teachers. To invoke God’s blessings the students sang a beautiful prayer song.

Senen Nicholas Mascarenhas  Welcomed the gathering . Sanjana and Dhanraj proposed the Vote of Thanks. The compering of the programme was done by Sara Yashal, Rishon D Sa, Lional Shawn, Bhavish M J, Sanjana and Dhanraj. We were glad to have Mrs Grace Menezes our retired teacher as the Chief Guest for the programme. In her speech she mentioned that Jesuit education is to find and experience God in everything. She also told the students to be grateful and satisfied with what they have. It is not hard to obey when we love the one whom we obey.

The students of class 5 also entertained the audience with a dance and presented a value based skit. The winners of various competition held on the occasion of this feast were honoured. The winning team of Badminton tournament which is qualified for the Divisional Level and Nethan D Souza of class 7 who is qualified for the State Level Swimming competition were honoured by our Correspondent Rev Fr Gerald Furtado SJ. The programme concluded with the School Anthem and distribution of sweets. Mrs Mangala Rai, the Vice President of the PTA was also present.
