The programme marked a heartfelt welcome to the newly appointed Rector of St. Aloysius Institutions, Rev. Fr. Brian Pereira, SJ and a warm farewell to two beloved teachers, Mrs. Irene Pais and Mr. Padmanabha Rao, on their retirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme was graced by the presence of the Rector, Rev. Fr. Brian Pereira, SJ, the Correspondent, Rev. Fr. Johnson Pinto, SJ, the Headmistress, Mrs. Jositta Noronha and the Assistant Headmaster, Mr. Liya D&#8217;Souza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The celebration commenced with a prayer song by the teachers, invoking God&#8217;s blessings on the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Headmistress, Mrs. Jositta Noronha, extended a cordial welcome to the gathering and specially welcomed the newly appointed Rector, Rev. Fr. Brian Pereira, SJ, by honouring him with great respect and warmth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his inspiring address, Rev. Fr. Brian Pereira, SJ, described teaching as the noblest of all professions and shared that he, too, would always consider himself a teacher. He emphasized that the respect earned by a teacher is immeasurable and highlighted the vital role teachers play in shaping the lives of students. He remarked that when a student sets a goal, a teacher stands firmly behind them like a strong pillar, guiding and supporting them throughout their journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With heartfelt gratitude, the Assistant Headmaster, Mr. Liya D&#8217;Souza, paid tribute to the retiring teachers and reflected on their remarkable years of dedicated service. Mrs. Irene Pais served the institution with commitment for 39 years and nine months, while Mr. Padmanabha Rao devoted 30 years of faithful service. Their long and distinguished careers were marked by countless cherished memories and the deep bonds they shared with their colleagues and students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The teachers then presented an emotional farewell song, expressing their affection and appreciation for the retirees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mrs. Irene Pais and Mr. Padmanabha Rao shared their heartfelt sentiments, expressing their deep love, gratitude and attachment to the institution. Though they had much to say, words seemed insufficient to convey the emotions they felt on this memorable occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Correspondent, Rev. Fr. Johnson Pinto, SJ, also addressed the gathering and expressed his sincere appreciation to the retiring teachers for their unwavering dedication, commitment and invaluable contribution to the institution over the years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before the fellowship meal, the Rector, Rev. Fr. Brian Pereira, SJ, led the gathering in saying the grace before meals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme was efficiently compered by Mrs. Sonia Menezes and the vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Flevi D&#8217;Souza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The celebration concluded on a note of gratitude, honour and warm fellowship, celebrating both a new beginning and the remarkable legacy of two dedicated educators whose service will always remain an inspiration to the St. Aloysius family.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>St. Aloysius College Higher Primary School Staff Welcomes the New Rector and Bids a Fond Farewell to Retiring Teachers.
